Business Leaders Ending QI

Business leaders are out front on ending qualified immunity (QI.) Common Dreams announces: Ben & Jerry’s Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield have teamed up with the American Sustainable Business Council to send a letter to Congress urging them to end qualified immunity. The letter, which totals 440 businesspeople, is inspired by the one written by the Players Coalition.

Some of the business leaders on board for ending qi include Eileen Fisher, Seth Goldman ( Eat the Change & PLNT Burger), and Joey Bergstein (Seventh Generation).

Along with their love of ice cream, Ben and Jerry have a passion for social justice. Among other initiatives, they are the founders and co-chairs of the Campaign to End Qualified Immunity.

“Business people need to do more than say Black Lives Matter,” notes Jerry. “We need to walk the talk. Signing on to this letter and urging elected officials to end qualified immunity is one important step we can take right now.”
