The Campaign to End Qualified Immunity (CTEQI) is featured in Forbes! In connection to the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, CTEQI shone as an example of the movement behind ending qualified immunity.
Over at Forbes, Nick Sibilla from the Institute for Justice shares his thoughts on the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. The House of Representatives passed the bill on March 3.
In his commentary, Sibilla focuses on the bill’s provision to end QI for law enforcement officers. He writes that although the act “still faces an uphill battle this session,” there’s growing support for ending qualified immunity. As an example, Sibella mentions our campaign:
“Ending qualified immunity is backed by around two-thirds of Americans, including many prominent celebrities like Tom Brady and the co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s.”
